Assent Consulting follows a disciplined nine-step recruitment process that ensures consistent and reliable quality in the solutions we provide.

Step one:  Our managers take a consultative approach with each client in order to determine the exact technical and non-technical specifications of each position. We use a list of proven questions that help us uncover each client’s most critical factors for success.

Step two: Our recruiters have both access to an extensive and proprietary database of key professionals as well as deep connections within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This combination enables us to quickly compile a short list of leading consultants who best match the criteria for each position.

Step three: Once the short list has been identified, we review each candidate to determine which should move forward to a formal interview.

Step four: Our interviews consist of behavioral questioning proven to effectively identify the details in a person’s background and experience critical to the hiring decision. All interviews are tailored to the requirements of the individual client.

Step five: The final candidate(s) are then submitted to our client and interviews are scheduled between the client and the consultants.

Step six: The candidates are screened one last time before the client interview to ensure they are still committed to the position or whether their objectives or goals have changed.

Step seven: After the client interview, we de-brief with the candidates, ensuring that we correctly represented the position, it matches their skills and it fits with their career objectives. We then finalize their commitment to complete the project.

Step eight: In-depth reference checks are conducted on each candidate during the hiring process and again when the consultant is selected for a position. Additionally, we provide background checks and drug screens at our clients’ request.

Step nine: Our process is not final at the time of placement, but ends when the consultant has successfully completed the project. Our account team will continuously follow-up with both the consultant and client throughout the project to ensure that everything is going smoothly and all expectations are being met.
